Throughout the years, Martin's Chapel Baptist Church has embraced generations of families passing through its doors. As we continue through the millennium, the humble beginnings of "a little unpainted weather-beaten church at the end of the road", has much promise upon the horizon. The church bell purchased in 1917, faithfully rings every Sunday morning to announce worship services. Many bricks and trowels of mortal since the 330 bricks acquired in 1918 to build a flue, have been placed to fortify our church's structure, and are symbolic of our unity and strength. Homecoming dinners, once served on the long covered wooden table outside, are now enjoyed in our Fellowship Hall. Long gone are the parking lot dirt pot holes, paved over with gleaming asphalt. Our family roots continue to be our historical legacy on the grounds of the church, given our member's beautification efforts with our cemetery, especially during holidays.

While many physical things have changed, many fundamentals remain the same, evident by the loving bonds among us, as we as a church family grow in Christian faith. Our fellowship with one another continues to grow, as does our praise for God's guidance and blessings. Our vision for the future is bright, as we extend the right hand of fellowship to new members and embrace families for generations to come. The promise of our heritage - the dream envisioned by a traveling minister and four brothers is no doubt being realized.
